Clay Aiken
George Michael
(antiMusic) American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken will soon be able to judge the measure of his fans devotion when he releases his first album consisting of all new material in five years. Who are we kidding? If we know anything about Aiken's rabid fans, then we know that the five year wait has probably only made them more hungry for new material from the pop star.
Very few details about the effort are known, but according to reports, the new album titled, "On My Way Here," is set to hit stores on May 6th and is being produced by Kipper (Sting and Chris Botti). The CD will also reportedly include the title track and a song called "Ashes".
With a new album, comes a new tour. Aiken is said to be hitting the road in July for a U.S. tour. Will he give Hannah Montana a run for her tour dollar money? We'll see this summer.
